The man who killed John Lennon, Mark David Chapman, was denied parole last week.
Chapman shot and killed the Beatles legend on December 8, 1980. He was sentenced to 20 years to life in prison. He has been up for parole every two years since 2000.
According to the released transcript of the parole hearing, Chapman said:
"I am sorry for causing that type of pain. I am sorry for being such an idiot and choosing the wrong way for glory."
