Alternative rock pioneer Bob Mould performed on Jimmy Kimmel Live!  Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins sat in with the band.

Mould, best known as the guitarist of Hüsker Dü and Sugar (he also wrote the theme for The Daily Show), released a solo album called Beauty & Ruin earlier this year.  The record is a personal one for Mould.  He wrote it after the death of his father. Mould tells Rolling Stone, "Sharing personal stuff, that's what I do.  I think that's what people expect. If I'd written bubblegum pop for 25 years and then I made a deeply personal record and regretted it, that would be one thing. This is just what I do. I don't even think about it."

This is not the first time a Foo Fighter has worked with Mould.  Dear Rosemary, from the Foo Fighters' Wasting Light album, is a duet with Mould and Dave Grohl.
