Andy Kaufman was one of the greatest trolls of all time.  If the claims made by a woman who claims to be his daughter are true, he is easily the greatest troll of all time.

Kaufman gained notoriety in the 1970s and 1980s with appearances on Saturday Night Live, a stint on the sitcom Taxi, and was known for his ruses and pranks.

He was immortalized in the 1999 film Man on the Moon and by the REM song of the same name.

Kaufman died in 1984.  But, many fans believe that the comedian faked his own death, particularly because the comedian was known for elaborate pranks and had actually joked about faking his own death.

Monday night, at the 9th annual Andy Kaufman Awards in New York, a 24-year-old woman claimed that she was Andy's daughter.  She explained the whole thing in front of Andy's brother, Michael.  TMZ has the footage.

Of course, this could be BS, also.  DNA tests exist.

The Smoking Gun reports that the woman who claimed to be Kaufman's daughter is actually an actress named Alexandra Tatarsky.  Her real dad is a Manhattan doctor.

She was recruited by Andy's brother to portray Kaufman's "daughter" in what was apparently a set-up.
