Following a disappointing 2016 season in which they finished 8-8 and missed the playoffs for the second season in a row, the Baltimore Ravens and head coach John Harbaugh announced they will retain Marty Mornhinweg, Dean Pees and Jerry Rosburg for 2017 as the team's offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator and special teams coordinator, respectively.
The moves come as a bit of a surprise after the Ravens made a few crucial mistakes that kept them out of the playoffs. The Ravens started 2016 with Mark Trestman as their offensive coordinator but fired him after Week 5. Mornhinweg apparently did well enough to keep the job.
Pees took over the defensive coordinator position for the Ravens in 2012. The defense looked much improved in 2016 and was ranked 7th for fewest yards allowed per game, allowed the 9th fewest points per game, gave up the 9th fewest passing yards per game, and gave up the 5th fewest rushing yards per game.
