Wild Card Playoffs - Baltimore Ravens v Pittsburgh Steelers

Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith, Sr. is now officially retired.

But in typical fashion, Smith didn't end his career without taking a shot at someone.

In the brief letter he sent to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell on January 2, 2017, Smith writes,

"Dear Commissioner Goodell, This is to notify you that as of today, I, Steve Smith Sr., will no longer be antagonizing defensive backs. I am retiring from the National Football League."

Smith played in the NFL for 16 seasons, the final three with the Ravens. He ranks 7th all-time in career receiving yards with 14,697, 26th in all-time receiving TD's with 81, and is a 5-time Pro Bowl player.

See you at the Hall of Fame in 2021.
