David Bowie's drummer says they've recorded enough material for two albums.
Bowie has yet to say anything about his new album, The Next Day, which will be out on March 12th, but his band members have been talking. And now drummer Zack Alford says the May 2011 sessions yielded enough material for two albums. They ran through 24 songs and 17 are slated to be on the disc.
Alford also says the band was OK with the veil of secrecy surrounding the sessions. "He handed out nondisclosure forms for everyone to sign. I think it's a real testament to the value of privacy. This is zero promotion. Basically, him saying nothing is almost promoting the record itself."
It took three weeks to record the album, which Bowie has no plans to tour behind.
