Morrissey is postponing yet another string of tour dates, including stops in Denver, Salt Lake City and San Francisco. But while the singer is still undergoing treatment for a bleeding ulcer and Barrett's esophagus, his sense of humor appears to be doing just fine. Morrissey posted a lengthy message on the fan site True to You recently.
He said, "I apologize to an almost annoying degree for any trouble I've caused to anyone by way of travel plans and dog-sitters and ticket-outlay and re-molded hairstyles."
He also jokes, "I fully realize that the word 'cancellation' in every known dictionary is followed by my own name, but no morale drops as low as my own at the mere suggestion of re-jigging shows."
But not to worry, he said he "should be as fit as a ferret for San Diego."
Morrissey is currently scheduled to return to the stage February 26th for a performance on ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live." He'll then get his tour back under way with a stop in San Diego on February 27th and a sold-out concert with Patti Smith at Los Angeles' Staples Center on March 1st.
