The Rolling Stones' mobile recording studio will be revamped and restored, but there's no hint the band plans to use it. Built in 1968, the portable facility was originally left at Mick Jagger's country home, and was used to record the albums Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main Street

Led Zeppelin cut four albums on it (IIIIVHouses of the Holy and Physical Graffiti). It's also been leased by Fleetwood MacDeep PurpleSantana and Iron Maiden.

Britain's NME reports that Canada's National Music Center purchased the mobile studio in 2000 and has announced plans to move it to theater now being built in Calgary.
