(East Rutherford, NJ) -- It wasn't pretty, but the New York Giants picked up their first victory of the season beating the Minnesota Vikings, 23-7, on "Monday Night Football" at MetLife Stadium. Peyton Hillis had 81 total yards and a rushing touchdown while Eli Manning threw for 200 yards and a TD. New York forced three turnovers and improved to 1-and-6. In his first start for Minnesota, Josh Freeman completed 20-of-53 passes for 190 yards and an interception. Adrian Peterson was held to 28 yards on 13 carries. Marcus Sherels returned a punt 86 yards for a score for Minnesota, which fell to 1-and-5.
