Karen O is sharing her first "Crush Song." The Yeah Yeah Yeahs frontwoman debuted a new song called "Rapt" on Monday, offering fans their first taste of her upcoming solo album, Crush Songs.
Karen has also released a video for "Rapt" that matches the song's lo-fi sound. It features the singer floating underwater in front of a bright light that illuminates her sparkling red dress.
According to Pitchfork, the clip was directed by Karen's husband Barney Clay, and features production design by K.K. Barrett. Barrett was nominated for a Best Production Design Oscar for Her, the Spike Jonze film that also helped Karen score an Oscar nod for Best Original Song.
Karen O's Crush Songs is scheduled to be released September 9th via Julian Casablancas' label, Cult Records.
