Joe Flacco Out 3-6 Weeks Due to Back Injury

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco has reportedly injured his back and will miss 3 – 6 weeks of preseason. A worst-case scenario means Flacco might not be ready until a week before the regular season kicks off.

According to sources, Flacco's injury is not a serious one, but the team wants to take extra precaution when dealing with a back injury. Current backup QB Ryan Mallet should see a significant amount of time in the four preseason games which begin on August 10th.

Flacco is the latest Raven to be injured early on in the 2017 season. Running back Kenneth Dixon was lost for the year after hurting himself working out. Tight end Dennis Pitta once again sustained a hip injury which likely put an end to his career and tight end Darren Waller was suspended for the entire season for violating the NFL's substance policy.

The Ravens begin their 2017 season on Sunday, September 10th on the road versus the Cincinnati Bengals.
