'Penis Man' Graffiti Artist Finally Caught, Arrested by 25-Man SWAT Team

A Phoenix, Arizona man who dubbed himself "Penis Man" and wrote the name on countless buildings, signs and objects in the city of Tempe starting in November, has been arrested.

Dustin Shomer allegedly tagged the name "Penis Man" over 40 different times until he was caught red-handed on Thursday, January 23rd.

"Tempe Police Detectives arrested Dustin Shomer after investigation revealed he was responsible for multiple graffiti incidents of 'Penis Man' throughout the City of Tempe and across Arizona State University as well," Detective Greg Bacon told DailyMail.co.uk

Most of the "Penis Man" graffiti was found on the grounds of Arizona State University, where Shomer was a former student.

After being arrest, Shomer made a post about it to a Facebook group called Unmodded - NEIGHB'rhood Group:

I just spent the last 24 hours in Tempe and Phoenix police custody for spraying "Penis Man." They raided my condo and vehicle and swarmed my entire complex in west Phoenix with 25 heavily armed SWAT officers, and pointed a silenced assault rifle in my face.
Anyone with any doubt who the bad guys are here...be certain it is the City of Tempe, City of Phoenix, and police forces valleywide. There is no excuse for pointing an AR-15 in the face of a non-violent offender.

Shomer claims he was spray-painting the name as a protest against "corrupt local government." He faces "16 counts of aggravated criminal damage, 8 counts of criminal damage and one count of criminal trespassing in the first degree."
