Original Design for Oriole Park at Camden Yards Reveals No Warehouse

A tweet posted apparently what was the original planned design for Oriole Park at Camden Yards and while on the surface it appears similar to the actual stadium, there's one big thing missing.

The original plan done by HOK Sport Venue Event (now known as Populus) reveals that the B&O Warehouse would have been demolished. Instead of having the flag court and Eutaw Street, there would have been a few levels of grandstands, similar to what is currently in left field.

There also would have been more seats in straight-away center field.

This proposed design draws comparisons to Guaranteed Rate Field, home of the Chicago White Sox, which opened a year earlier. It's safe to say that had Camden Yards gone through with this original design, it would not be as beloved as the current version, complete with the Warehouse.
