Red Hot Chili Peppers Announce 2022 Stadium Tour Via Wacky Newscast Video

The Red Hot Chili Peppers reunited with guitarist John Frusciante in 2019 and it seemed like big things were in store. The band played one "warmup" gig in early 2020... then COVID happened. The band has been pretty quiet other than confirming that they were working on a new album... until now.

The band announced their 2022 world tour, starting next summer, via a fake newscast video and it's hilarious.

Singer Anthony Kiedis plays lead anchor Johnson Hammerswaddle, Flea is co-anchor Todd the Squirrel, Chad Smith is weatherman Randy Raindrops, and John Frusciante is himself.

Frusciante breaks the news to the team and they collectively lose their minds.

Not exact dates and venues have been detailed, but fingers crossed the band makes another special video for that.
