"Best Cry Ever" Guy, Former Boxing Champion Rocky Lockridge Has Died

Rocky Lockridge, a former standout boxing champion and subject of a popular YouTube video clip "Best Cry Ever" has passed away at the age of 60 .

According to a report, Lockridge died February 7 due to complications from having multiple strokes and pneumonia.

Rocky, known affectionately as "Champ," had a 210-8 record as an amateur boxer and a 44-9 record as a professional with 36 knockouts. He once held the World Boing Association's super-featherweight title and the International Boxing Federation's junior lightweight title. Lockridge says he earned over $3M in his career.

After retiring from boxing, Lockridge became broke, suffered a stroke, and battled substance abuse. With the help of family and friends, he decided to appear on the A&E show Intervention , a clip of which went viral in 2010. In the clip, Rocky's son Lamar tells him, "Because I know, somewhere deep down in my heart, I still love you," to which Rocky cries so hard he starts yelling.

Lockridge credits the show to helping him get clean and off the streets. He lived near Camden, NJ in his final years.
