A Charles County police officer has been suspended after making an insensitive comment on Facebook regarding the death of two teenagers who died in a car accident on March 3rd.
According to ABC 7, Officer Rob Glover made a comment on Facebook regarding the accident, saying in a now-deleted post, "F*** em, shouldn't have been driving that fast" on his personal account.
Colin Bipat and Desmond Cooke, noth 17-years old, were both killed in the accident, and a third teenager, 18, was seriously injured.
Sheriff Troy Berry issued a statement regarding the comment, saying, "Since I became a Sheriff, my goal has been to foster a relationship with our community that is built on integrity, respect, service and compassion for others. One disgusting comment, one insensitive sentence, and an officer's total lack of judgement certainly has the potential to harm that relationship."
