Former Ravens Player Michael Jackson Dead at 48

Michael D. Jackson, former wide receiver for the Baltimore Ravens between 1996-1998, has died in a motorcycle accident according to TMZ.

Louisiana State Police said the 48-year old was involved in an early morning accident when he was traveling at a high rate of speed on his motorcycle when a young woman backed her car out onto the two-lane highway Jackson was on.

Jackson played in the NFL from 1991 to 1998 for the Cleveland Browns, which then became the Baltimore Ravens in 1996.

In 1996, Jackson lead the NFL in receiving touchdowns. His career was derailed by injuries, forcing Jackson to retire at the age of 29.
