Anne Arunel County Sheriff Ron Bateman joined FOX 45 Baltimore to discuss his ideas to help keep people safer in schools. He argues that all schools in Anne Arundel County should implement bulletproof doors, x-ray machines and metal detectors as a way to help prevent another school shooting.
Bateman makes the point that it is much easier for anyone to gain access to a public school than it is to get inside of a Ravens or Orioles game. The cost of implementing these systems would be costly, but Bateman says schools can become safer by starting with daily bag searches.
