IHOP is Coming to the Inner Harbor

IHOP is coming to downtown Baltimore. The new location is planning to open this fall at 600 E. Pratt in Lockwood Place, replacing the Panera Bread that closed there last year.

The Inner Harbor location will be Baltimore City's first IHOP. The closest IHOP restaurants are currently in Towson, Glen Burnie and Dundalk.

The owners of the new IHOP are hoping to take advantage of the area's high volume of traffic and draw some of the breakfast business from Miss Shirley's at 750 E. Pratt.

Reactions to the news varied from somewhat positive to disdain. Comments on reddit include, "Imagine the riff-raff at a Baltimore IHOP. This place is going to be a [expletive] show," "Nice. $6 for pancakes, way more for parking," and "tourist family dads are gonna love this cheaper option downtown."
