The National Weather Service has issued Winter Storm Watch and Winter Weather Advisories for the Washington, DC metro area, Baltimore area and regions west starting Tuesday night and into Wednesday night. Potential snowfall totals could reach or exceed 5".
Current forecast models provided by the NWS are showing predicted amounts of snowfall between 4-6" in the DC/Baltimore/Frederick triangle, with totals increasing towards the mountains. High end forecasts show as much as 9" in DC, 11" in Baltimore, and 16" in Frederick.
