Richard Harrison, affectionately known as "Old Man" from the hit TV series Pawn Stars, has died at the age of 77. The news was made public via a post on the pawn shop's official Facebook page.
No cause of death was given, but the post says that Harrison died peacefully surrounded by family. Harrison was born in Danville, VA, and went by the nickname "Old Man" since he was around 38 years old. Harrison served in the Navy for 20 years.
The World Famous Gold & Pawn Shop opened in Las Vegas in 1989, two miles from the Vegas strip. The shop was featured in a 2001 PBS documentary and in 2003, was featured in an episode of Insomniac with Dave Attell before getting its own show on the History Channel in 2009
