Billy Dee Williams, who played Lando Calrissian in The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, is returning to the Star Wars franchise by reprising his role in Episode IX.
Williams recently cancelled an appearance at a sci-fi convention, citing a scheduling conflict created by a movie production. Turns out that movie is indeed Episode IX. Donald Glover played the role of Calrissian in Solo: A Star Wars Story, released earlier this year.
Episode IX is set to hit theaters on December 20, 2019.
