Brad Brach Traded to the Atlanta Braves

The Baltimore Orioles traded their third all-star player in a little over two weeks, sending reliever Brad Brach to the Atlanta Braves for $250k in international signing bonus money.

Brach took over the Orioles' closer role in 2017 as Zach Britton battled injuries. He was the team's closer to start the 2018 season, picking up 11 saves in only a limited number of attempts for the struggling team.

In other team news, Adam Jones has reportedly said he does not want to leave the Orioles in a trade before Tuesday's deadline. Jones has enough tenure with the team to veto any trade and says he intends to use that power. Regardless, Jones' contract with the team expires after the current season.
