Longtime Orioles fan favorite Adam Jones has found himself a new team.
The center fielder has signed a one-year, $3M deal with the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Jones played 11 seasons with the O's after he was traded from the Seattle Mariners in what is considered to be one of the most lopsided trades in MLB history. In those 11 seasons, Jones racked up 5 All-Star appearances, 4 Gold Gloves in center field, and a Silver Slugger award. He was a key component of the team's three postseason appearances in 2012, 2014 and 2016.
The Diamondbacks were in need of a solid outfielder following the loss of their starting center fielder A.J. Pollock to free agency. Jones will likely not be a starter when the season kicks off.
