The Towson Tigers Women's Basketball team pulled off a thrilling 53-49 victory over the Drexel Dragons to be crowned the champion of the CAA Tournament. But more importantly, that win means an automatic spot in the NCAA Tournament. And that means the Tigers will be making their first appearance in school history in the tournament.

The Tigers finished the season 20-12 and are riding a high when they travel to play at the start of the big tournament which begins on Friday, March 22nd. Drexel held the lead for much of the game, and Towson only took the lead with less than two minutes left in the game. Nukiya Mayo lead Towson with 20 points and was named the CAA Tournament's Most Outstanding Player.
