Chris Davis of the Baltimore Orioles is in the midst of the longest streak of at bats without getting a hit in the history of Major League Baseball. Some people are so ready for Chris to finally getting a hit that they plan to celebrate the occasion with free alcohol.
Lee's Pint & Shell in Canton and Power Plant Live downtown are offering some pretty good deals if you're around when (or if) Davis gets his first hit of the season.
Lee's is offering fans a two-hour open bar with Crushes and Natty Bohs if you're at the bar at the start of the game where Chris gets his first hit.
Power Plant Live is giving away 1,000 Orange Crushes on the Friday after Chris gets his first hit and 1,500 if that first hit is a home run.
Davis is 0-for-29 so far in 2019 in 10 games. The last time he got a hit in a regular season game was September 14, 2018.
