Pratt Street and Howard Street in Downtown Baltimore have been closed as safety crews assess the condition of the roads and the areas underneath them.
Yesterday (July 8), a water main broke, flooding the Inner Harbor and nearby areas. The flood also caused a train to derail in the Howard Street Tunnel according to The Baltimore Sun.
Now, workers are trying to determine if any dangerous voids opened up underground as a result of yesterday's flooding. They are apparently using a "penetrating radar" according to the above tweet to determine if any at all repair work will be needed and to keep the two roads safe for commuters.
