Buildings Evacuated in Downtown Baltimore From Van w/ 1,000 Gallons of Gas

Baltimore City Police and the ATF are investigating a suspicious vehicle left parked near the T. Rowe Price building downtown. The van is said to be filled with 1,000 gallons of gasoline and was leaking some of it which lead to the report.

A four-block area around 100 East Pratt Street was evacuated including the T. Rowe Price building, The Gallery and multiple hotels and restaurants. Streets surrounding the area were also closed.

Traffic is expected to be continually diverted away from the area as the investigation into the suspicious van continues.

Officers initially responded to the report of leaking gas coming from the van around 9:15am.
