James Daly, CEO of Allianz Trade

James Daly is President and Chief Executive Officer for Allianz Trade in the Americas, one of the fastest growing Regions within the company, comprised of the U.S., Canada and Brazil. In his role, Daly develops and oversees the Region’s strategy, focused on customer centricity, product development, and system initiatives, as well as sales and distribution enhancements. He is passionate about championing diversity and inclusion within the workplace and is a founding member of the company’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Council. Daly focuses on fostering an inclusive workplace culture that enables all associates to grow, build and develop, as evident through the Region’s numerous awards such as Business Insurance Best Places to Work, Baltimore Business Journal Best Places to Work and Great Places to Work certification.

Daly joined Allianz Trade in 2003 and has been part of the Americas Region since January 2014. Prior to his current role, he served as Regional Commercial Director for the Americas, during which time the company achieved double-digit growth amidst challenging market conditions.   

In addition to his roles in the Americas Region, Daly has held leadership positions throughout the organization. He served as Global Commercial and Distribution Director for Allianz Trade Group in France, Regional Head of Market Management, Commercial and Distribution for the Northern Europe Region, and Commercial Director for Allianz Trade UK. Before joining the Allianz Trade team, Daly held roles with Hertz Lease, Ford Motor Credit and ABN Amro. 

Daly holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree from University College London in Marine Biology. Little known fun fact about him, Daly used to be a professional rugby player. He played for London Irish and Chiltern, and represented South West England and Buckinghamshire. Daly and his wife Lisa currently reside in Maryland. They share two daughters and one son.
